Want to be featured on the “Song of Ice and Fire” books? Now you can.
George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series is one of the most celebrated book series in the world, giving us the hit TV series “Game of Thrones”. But how would you like to be featured in an upcoming book of the series? Now you can, for charity.
Martin is asking for donations to the two organizations through a Prizeo campaign, and there are 60 days left. But he throws in an incentive. Donate $20,000, and Martin will name a character after you in an upcoming “Song of Ice and Fire” novel. You can choose what your character does, and, perhaps best of all, your character will “certainly meet a grisly death.” which is more or less what you’d expect from our beloved author.
Head over to the crowdfunding page if you are interested for more. Things are going good for Martin too, with the current season of “Game of Thrones” overtaking the 2002 season of “The Sopranos” to emerge as HBO’s most popular of all time, which more or less makes it the most popular series in pay-cable history. The series is catching up to the books so, George, I love you and everything, but please… get to writing
